a lil too quiet...

left in the silence
thoughts start speaking out loud
the vibrations leave the body shaking
as you listen to your heart pound
surrounded by distractions
but the focus is clear
no matter what you do
the thoughts won't disappear 
a stir of emotions
clenching your mind against a wall
you try to look the other way
but that grip is a bit too strong
you close your eyes to embrace darkness
but all you see is light
shining through your eyelids
a moment left inside
a frame of many words
with words that can't describe
this puzzle of clues and suggestions
where it's not enough to just ask why
but how and when
the cycle always begins 
or rather has never ended
a story of being able to see another's perspective
selective rounds of stay in or get out
that trust or doubt
to be ignorant or find out
countless times of choosing one over the other
lessons learned
some swept beneath the covers 
wonder where this is going now...
